"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients, cut the butter until the dry mix looks crumbly. Add milk gradually to make a lumpy dough. Flour a cutting board or counter surface, and turn out onto the floured surface. Pat by hand to flatten it out, 1/4 turn and fold, repeat 6-8 times then flatten one more time until about 1 inch thick. Cut with end of glass cup or round biscuit/cookie cutter and place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes at 425 degrees. Brush tops with melted butter when they come out!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
It was common that many Southern families has a biscuit recipe that is always used for almost any meal. Although we are not from the south originally, my maternal grandmother Pearl Kay Small, Grammy Bach's mother, was from Tennessee. Her mother, Emma, (your great great grandma) made these biscuits quicker than you could eat them, and she always liked them with honey.
