Ingredients:

½ cup shortening
½ cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 Tsp. baking powder
2 Tsp. vanilla
1 Cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shorting and butter, add sugar gradually. Add eggs, blending well. Add sifted dry ingredients, Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts, mix and drop by teaspoons on buttered baking sheet. press half pecan or walnut in each. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
