3/4 c. butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. Kahlua or other coffee flavored liqueur
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Melt butter and chocolate (Heat in microwave, covering, for 30 sec. at a time. Stirring after each 30 sec. About 1 1/2 mins. set aside to cool)

Beat eggs and sugar until pale and lemon colored. Blend in Kahlua, cooled chocolate mixture. Beat until smooth.

In a separate bowl blend flour, baking powder and salt. Mix all altogether on medium speed just until blended. Don't over mix. Add nuts if using. Pour into a greased 9x12 baking pan, smoothing evenly. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan before cutting. Dust with powdered sugar.
