1 c. soft shortening (part margarine/oleo)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt

For rolling:
2 T. sugar
2 T. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift flour and dry ingredients and stir into the shortening mixture (Do not use a mixer!). Roll the dough into balls the size of small walnuts, and then roll the balls into a mixture of the 2 T. sugar and 2 T. flour. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 until lightly browned but still soft, about 8 - 10 minutes.
