Granny's Cherry Walnut Cake Recipe

Filling Mix:
1 jar of Marachino Cherries, chopped
1 Cup Walnuts, chopped
1/4 Cup Sugar

Batter Mix:
1/2 Cup Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1tsp Baking Soda
Dash of Salt
1 Cup Sour Cream
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix chopped cherries, walnuts and the 1/4 cup of sugar together.Set aside.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla, Stir well.
Add rest of dry ingredients.
Pour half of batter into a bundt pan, then pour half of cherry mixture, add rest of batter and top with remainder of cherry mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hr. Test with tooth pick for doneness. Cool and then remove from pan.

At Christmas time use candied fruits, dates and raisins, to make more of a fruitcake!
