7 lbs. cucumbers, sliced
8 qts. Water
2 cups air slack lime

Vinegar Mix:
2 qts. vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tbsp. spoon salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cucumbers, water, lime and let stand 24 hours.
Next morning wash pickles through 3 cold waters. Let stand in cold water 3 hours. Drain & put in cold vinegar mixture. Let stand overnight.

Next morning simmer Vinegar Mix 30 minutes and seal hot. I put about a tsp. or more of green food coloring in while they are simmering.
