Directions:
Peel, core and slice apples, sprinkling with lemon juice to keep from turning brown.

Mix by whisking together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add apples and water.

Bring mixture to a boil on high heat and reduce to medium heat. Cook until mixture thickens and apples are soft.

Add butter and remove from heat.

Preheat over to 375º

Pour pie filling mixture into prepared pie crust and bake approximately 35-40 minutes or until crust is brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Honey crisp, Granny Smith, Jonathan, Gala or Braeburn apples make the best pie.

When using a prepared pie crust, remove 2 ddep dish pie crusts from freezer. Immediately turn one of the pie crusts upside down and using a paper towel, rub Crisco generourly on the sides and bottom of teh crust and then return it to the pan.

Allow the other crust to thaw and then cut the edges off and toss, keeping only the flat part to make the topping for your pie. After adding your pie filling to the bottom crust, place the flat crust on tipe and rub it gently but generously with Crisco. With a shart knife, vent the center of the top of the pie crust and then cook as directed. Gram vents the pie crust with the letter "A".
