Pinto beans
Oil
Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse your beans. Add beans, oil and water to a large pot. Add your salt. Bring to a boil then lower temp and simmer on a medium low for up to 3 hours. You don't want to simmer on too low of heat because then the beans will turn out dark. You don't want dark beans, you want a light color for your end result. You know, "pretty beans". The measurements vary depending on how much you need to make. I use 1 part beans to 3 parts water. You will know the beans are ready when they are completely soft.

* You can also add flavors like ham bones, chopped bacon, (not cooked) or chicos. (a kind of maze). To make refried beans. You simply heat up some fat in a frying pan. Then you add some beans making sure that you don't have too much juice. And then fry your beans in the fat using a mashing tool to mash them into refried beans.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Note: if you want to turn your beans into chili beans. You will need to fry some ground beef with all purpose flour. You fry the ground beef until it is completely brown and the flour is absorbed in the fat. I then let it cool for a while. After it's cooled I add it to my boiling beans. Season with red chili sauce, garlic, onion, tiny bit of cumin, salt and stewed tomatoes (optional).
