2 ½ c. boiling water
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg

Frosting:
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. can milk or half & half
1 c. chopped nuts
3 c. flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let set 20 minutes
Beat butter until creamy, slowly ad sugars, beat until fluffy
Blend in vanilla, eggs and oats mix well
Add flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg, mix well pour into greased and floured
9 x 13 pan ( I use spray on my pan)
Bake 350º for 50 min

Frosting
Melt butter add the rest of the ingredients spread over cake place under broiler until frosting becomes bubbly.
