4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup cornmeal

THE NIGHT BEFORE
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Combine the remaining 1 cup of water with the cornmeal and the salt.
Slowly pour the cornmeal into the boiling water stirring constantly
Cook until thickened, stirring frequently. about 5 minutes
Pour into loaf pan that has been sprayed

The next morning, unmold the mush onto a cutting board and slice.
Pan fry the slices in a little bacon fat until golden and crispy
Serve with butter and syrup
