1 cup sugar
1 cup oleo (butter or margarine)
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and oleo. Add eggs. Dissolve soda in the buttermilk and then add to the creamed mixture. Add flour, baking powder, bananas and nuts.

Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Makes 1 large loaf.
