1/2 c. Shortening
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 c. White Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 c. Crushed Pineapple
1/2 c. Chopped Nuts
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
2 c. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars together thoroughly.

Beat in the egg and vanilla.

Stir in pineapple and nuts.

Sift together flour, salt, soda, baking powder and mix well. Add to mixture above.

Will make a soft dough that must be pushed from the spoon (using a 2nd spoon) onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Place 1 1/2 inches apart.

Bake at 375ºF for fifteen (15) minutes.
