Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 Bake pie crust until golden brown and then remove

2) Combine the cocoa and flour in a pan

3) Whisk in the egg yolks and 1 1/3 cup of sugar

4) Add the evaporated milk whisking and combining all ingredients

5) Cook over medium heat and constantly stir with a wooden spoon

6) stir until mixture thickens and coats back of spoon around 15-18 min

7) Remove the custard off the heat and add butter and stir until melted and mixed

8) Pour filling into baked pie crust

Make the Meringue topping better known as calf slobber in my house !:)

1) put 4 egg whites in mixer (There can be no yolk not even a spec or will not thicken_)

2) turn mixer on high beat egg white until frothy then add the cream of tarter and add the sugar one spoon at a time.

3) After a few minutes the meringue will become stiff. You then spoon it onto the pie you just made and spread it out a little thicker in the middle than on the edges. You should use all of the meringue that you make on the pie.

4) After putting on the meringue as decoratively as you can barely prick the top with a fork putting little lifted areas throughout the top.

5) Put the pie back into the oven at 350 degrees for 10 min or so until the meringue starts to get golden brown in areas.

6) Take out of the oven and let cool.

This is one of my dad's top two favorite pies. This pie takes practice to perfect. It tastes great either way. Have fun! :)
