2 cups dark karo syrup (corn syrup)
2 cups sugar
1 pint whipping cream
1 square (cube, ½ cup) butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Put karo syrup and sugar in a sauce pan
When it comes to a boil add whipping cream very slowly. Don't let it stop boiling.
Boil 15 minutes and then add butter
Keep stirring
Cook until the mixture almost becomes brittle when dropped in cold water.
When done, add 1 tsp vanilla
Pour into a greased square pan

This recipe is TRICKY to succeed at! But when done right (and even the times I've messed them up!) they are sooooo yummy! I've yet to make a successful batch. It's my life goal ;). Aunt Krista has come the closest to success :)
