Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½ cups flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup sugar
¼ cup butter (½ cube)
1 egg
¼ cup sour cream
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter together until really creamy (this takes longer than expected and it is an important step. Like make or break the cookies)
Stir in the egg, vanilla, and sour cream
Add dry ingredients. Mix well
Refrigerate until well chilled
Roll dough ¼ inch thick and cut into shapes
Place shapes on greased cookie sheet

Bake on 350º for 10-12 minutes
Cool and frost (see recipe for a delicious frosting)

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This makes a very reasonable amount of cookies (like you won't have to bake cookies all day!). I actually double the batch when I make them so I don't end up eating them all in one sitting ;)
