1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup shortening
1 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in the sour milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
2½ cups flour (approx.- enough for a soft dough)
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350º.

Bake until light brown edges. There was not a time with this recipe.
