1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugars; beat well. Mix in eggs, baking soda, cream of tartar and vanilla. Mix in the flour. Drop balls of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet. Press slightly flat with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375° tor 10 minutes.
Excellent if spread with Crisco frosting.

1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
3 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a bowl. Mix until of spreading consistency.
Note: This is a nice white frosting, but can be colored with food coloring, depending on the holiday.
