Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lbs LA Galbi meat (Korean BBQ short ribs-sometimes called flanken)*
1c Korean soy sauce
3 1/2 T dark brown sugar
2 T rice wine
1/2 apple (Gala, Fuji or Pink Lady)
1 sweet onion
3 peeled garlic cloves
1/3 t minced ginger
4 sprinkles ground pepper
1 T sesame oil
2 T oil (vegetable or olive)

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the meat in cold water for 1 hour to get rid of the blood. Change the water a couple of times as it releases debris.
While waiting, mix the rest of the ingredients in a blender/food processor.
Pat dry meat. Pour sauce onto meat (either in large bowl or container with lid) and mix with a spoon to season thoroughly. Seal container or cover bowl with plastic wrap.
Marinate meat for at least 3-4 hours (overnight if possible) in the refrigerator. Turn (or stir) the meat several times during marinating, so the meat is seasoned evenly and thoroughly.
Take meat out of the refrigerator 15-30 minutes prior to cooking.
Cook the meat on a grill or in a skillet to your preference.
Serve and enjoy!
