1 C sugar
1/4 C molasses

Directions:
preheat oven to 350.

on the stove, melt butter, then add sugar & molasses. Remove from heat and let cool for a minute. Mix thoroughly.

Lightly beat your egg and add it to the butter mixture. Blend well so the egg doesn't scramble.

Sift the flour with spices, salt and baking soda right into the butter mixture. This batter will be really wet. That's ok!

Lay a sheet of parchment paper (if you haven't got any, then spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray). Drop tablespoons of cookie dough and be sure to leave about 3 inches between the cookies. The cookies will spread out nice and big while they're cooking.

Bake about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven while the cookies are still soft.
