1 (10 oz.) package (1-1/2 cups) Nestle's Toll House semi-sweet mint chocolate chips, divided
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Melt over hot (not boiling) water, 3/4 cup Nestle's chocolate mint morsels; stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
3. In bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
4. In bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Add melted morsels and egg; beat well.
5. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining morsels and nuts.
6. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7. Bake at 375 degrees F. Time: 8 to 9 minutes.
8. Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely.
