1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

FROSTING
6 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degree. Grease a 151/2x101/2-inch jelly-roll pan.
In large mixer bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. In medium bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and vanilla, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Spread evenly into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack
FROSTING: In medium saucepan combine butter, cocoa and buttermilk. Cook over medium heat to a rapid boil; stir. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in confectioners sugar and vanilla until smooth. Frost while cake is still warm. Sprinkle nuts on top. Makes 24 serving, about 240 calories each.
