2 c. raisins chopped
2 c. boiling water
3/4 c. butter-flavored shortening
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place raisins in a small bowl. Cover with boiling water, let stand 5 minutes. Drain and set aside. In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt, gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts and raisins.
Drop by rounded Tablespoon 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet for 8 to 10 mintues or until bottoms are browned.
