Directions:
Saute 4 medium onions until they become clear (in a Dutch oven). Cut up 1 chicken in large pieces and place in Dutch oven over the onions, skin side up. Sprinkle with garlic powder or 2 cloves of chopped garlic, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons paprika. Fill Dutch oven with water to cover chicken. Simmer about 1 hour. Thicken with 2 tablespoons flour and tiny bit of water. Turn heat to low and stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Serve over noodles or with dumplings.

For dumplings, add enough flour to thicken so that dough will turn over edge of the bowl. Cut the dough off edge of bowl with a spoon right into boiling water. Cook 2-3 minutes, drain and put into juice of Paprikosh.
