2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves minced
½ cup dry white wine (or broth may be substituted)
¾ kosher salt to taste
crushed red pepper flakes to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 lbs large shrimp, shelled
⅓ cup chopped parsley
freshly squeezed lemon

cooked rice (Carolina works well)

Melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and sauté about 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp, simmer reducing wine in half.

Add shrimp and sauté until they turn pink, stir in parsley and lemon.

Serve over rice or pasta.
