¼ c Luke warm water (110º - 115º)
1 c Luke warm water
2 packages yeast
½ c Shortening
6 ½ - 7½ c flour
½ c Sugar
1 egg slightly beaten
1½ tsp salt
1½ c scalded milk (to scald milk heat to 180º )

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and place in a mixing bowl,
Add shortening, salt, sugar, and warm water.
Cool to Luke warm.

At the same time put yeast into ¼ c lukewarm water to dissolve.

Add egg and dissolved yeast to the mixing bowl mixture.

Add flour gradually.

Lightly grease the outside of your dough and cover.

Let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rise again and then punch down and make rolls. Let rise again until double in size.

Bake at 425º for 15-20 minutes. let cool for a few minutes and little rub a stick of butter over the tops if the rolls then flip out onto a towel and loosely cover until ready to serve
