Ingredients:
2 Eggs

1 Cup Butter

1 Cup Oil

1 Cup Sugar

1 Cup Powdered Sugar

4 Cups Flour

1 Tsp Cream of Tarter

1 Tsp Baking Soda

1/4 Tsp Salt

1 Tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, oil, sugars and vanilla.

Add Eggs and beat well.

Add flour, mix well.

Grease cookie sheet lightly one time.

Drop small ball of cookie dough on the cookie sheet.

Dip a glass in sugar and press down on the cookie ball until it is spread out and as thin as you can get it. (The thinner you make the cookies the more "crummy" they become.)

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes; however, you need to watch them closely as they can burn quickly.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Making these Crummy Cookies (as I used to call them as a child) is one of my most favorite memories of my grandma. I was the only one in the family that used to make them with her so to this day I am the only one that makes them the way she used to. The rest of my family attempts to make the cookies but they don't smash them down enough so they are not the same. I have tried these as well with Peppermint flavoring for the holidays and have used green and red sugar when smashing them down to make them festive!
