Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar

2 sticks softened butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar (Mal said she doesn't sift but it is in her recipe so...).

Cut the softened sticks of butter with a pastry blender.

Mix the egg, vanilla and milk and add to the mixture. Chill.

Roll out thinly and bake at 400 degrees, 5-8 minutes until "delicately browned"

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mom's recipe says 2 sticks softened butter, I use chilled butter as it is easier to use with a pastry blender.
