Ingredients:
Ingredients:
14 cucumbers (dill pickle size)
1 qt. vinegar
8 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. pickling spice
1 Tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over cucumbers for 3 days. On 4th day, slice real thin and make the syrup by boiling vinegar, sugar, pickling spice and salt. Pour hot syrup over pickles every morning for 3 days. On 4th day drop pickles into clean sterilized jars. Just bring syrup to a boiling point, but don't boil. You can put a little green food coloring in the syrup and mix well before pouring in jars over pickles. Wipe off rims, seal with a hot flat and just tighten ring so it's snug but not over tight.

Place jars in a canner or large pot lined with a wire rack at the bottom. Once all of the jars are in the pot, add boiling hot water, to cover jars with 1-2 inches of water. Process/boil for 15 minutes. Carefully remove jars from the water using a jar lifter and leave at room temperature undisturbed for 12-24 hours.
