4½ cup Flour (sifted)
½ tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 cup Margarine
2 cups Sugar
3 Eggs (beaten)
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp Vanilla

Frosting:
¼ Cup butter
4 cups Powdered Sugar (sifted)
2 Egg-whites
1 tsp Vanilla
¼ tsp Cream of Tarter
1-2 tsp cream or milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine baking powder, salt, baking soda, butter, sugar, nutmeg, eggs, and vanilla.
Add buttermilk and sifted flour alternatively.
Mix well
Chill overnight
Knead dough on floured surface
Knead and add flour until dough is no longer sticky
Use rolling-pin to flatten to ½ inch
Use cookie cutters to create desired shapes
Bake at 375º for 12-15 minutes
Allow to cool before applying icing

Frosting:
Add powdered sugar into large mixing bowl
Cut in butter until caramel consistency
Add unbeaten egg-whites, vanilla, and cream of tarter
Beat thoroughly
Add milk or cream until frosting is spreading consistency
