1 Lb Hamburger
1 Green Pepper
1 Tablespoon chili powder
3/4 bottle catsup
1 small onion
2 Cans Red Beans
2 Cans water (using red bean can)
1/2 Cup sugar

Brown hamburger (break into small pieces)
Add green pepper and onion and cook until onion is soft
Add all other ingredients and simmer until cooked well

Anna Gastineau (MaMa Shirleys mother) used to make this chili for Randy and I when we were very small and lived next door to them. I did not realize until I was in college that you did not put catsup or sugar in chili. At our house, I often made two types of chili at the same time: One that was "Grandma's Chli" and one that was "Regular Chili." Dean and Lacey usually liked Grandma's Chili best.
