5 lbs ground beef
5 lbs ground pork
5 lbs ground veal
1 onion chopped fine
1tbsp oil
salt & pepper
2 Tbsp onion & garlic salt


Pie Crust
5 cups of flour
1 pound of shortening like Crisco or tender, flake
1 teaspoon baking powder,

When egg in a measuring cup and add enough water to measure, one cup, two drops of vinegar, beat it with the fork

In large pot add oil onion brown mixed meats . ( I use all beef in my pies )
In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of flour, a bit of Bisto beef, gravy, mix water. Add to the mixture to thicken up simmer till thickened with a little bit of gravy, pour it into piecrust.

Pie crust, combined flour, shortening baking powder mixed to crumbly in a separate bowl, measuring cup of the egg the water add two drops of vinegar beat mix together
Flour table and divide dough into several balls, then roll it out with a rolling pin to the size of the tinfoil plate and then put it on the pie plate fill it with meat and then roll out another flat round put it on top seal it tight poke a hole in the top for the grease to come out, Fill add another piecrust on top press firmly down around the sides poke hole in the centre grease can bubble out. Bake them at 3:50 for a 1/2 hr -1 hr freeze well

Aunt Dianne Mahoney always made at Christmas and taught me how. She was taught by Great Gramma Clara born Mary Clara Morin married Great Grampa Dennis Mahoney in Mont Cerf Quebec 1900
Gramma Clara only spoke French (why dad knew how to speak it)
She had severe arthiritis was in a wheelchair still bake & kick your butt if needed
She made these and donuts every Christmas
