2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Salt

Mix all together and add :
1 cup chopped suet
1 cup raisins or dates
enough water to make a very stiff dough.

Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla
