For crust:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. powdered sugar

For filling:
2 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 T. fresh lemon juice

Directions:

Crust:
Blend until well mixed. Pat into bottom of 8x8 greased pan. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Set aside and let cool a bit.

Filling:
While crust is cooling, prepare filling. Mix ingredients together and pour over baked crust. Bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes. Let cool. Cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

When I was in grade school I brought home this little book that had recipes that fit the various Peanuts characters. My mother thought this one looked yummy. Unlike me, she did not have a big sweet tooth. It was one of her favorite recipes over the years.
