3 cups rhubarb cut in 1 inch pieces
1cup sugar
1 to 2 tablespoon margarine or butter

Batter:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place cut up pieces of rhubarb in 9 x 13" baking dish. Sprinkle over with sugar. Dot with margarine or butter. For batter mix, cream together sugar and shortening; add egg, mix well. Mix in flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Put on top of rhubarb and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
