Creamy Cookie Frosting

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp sea salt
1.5 cups butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 can pumpkin 15 oz

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Cream butter, add both sugars, beat in egg and add vanilla & pumpkin. Add dry ingredients. Add 1 cup of Walnuts. (Kris likes without.)

Drop tablespoons size on sheet & Bake @ 350º for about 12 mins. Let cool then add frosting. I place a toasted walnut piece in the frosting if the cookie has nuts in it. Cookies are supposed to be soft & chewy not crunchy so don't over cook. Refrigerate after cooled. Serve at room temperature.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is a popular fall cookie in the Macri household. I have actually modified this recipe slightly and made a bundt cake with an glaze. It was a hit as well. I can't recall what I modified and it was a happy accident. One day I will attempt to recreate.

Perfect dessert to bring to a Thanksgiving gathering as a guest.
