1/4 C shortening
1/2 C sugar
1 C flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
3-4 tbsp crushed peppermint

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Combine egg, milk, flour and powders. Drop on greased baking sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in flour. Sprinkle with peppermint candy. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
