Ingredients: 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened 2 1/3 c. brown sugar 2 eggs, room temperature 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 2/3 c. bread flour 1 3/4 c. all purpose flour 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt 20 oz. semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips or chunks Flaky sea salt for sprinkling, if desired

Directions:Cream the butter and brown sugar in a standing mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, and vanilla.
In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients until incorporated. Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate for 24-72 hours.
Preheat oven to 350º. Scoop golf ball sized batter onto baking sheet. Sprinkle with flake salt if desired.
Bake 8-11 minutes. Cookies will look slightly under baked. Let cool on rack. |

Notes: I was skeptical when Rachel said these are the best chocolate chip cookies she has ever had. I thought Leslie Teeling's cookies were pretty darn good. But, I would have to agree, Rachel is right. These are the BEST chocolate chip cookies around! Thank you Tom for sharing them with us.
