3/4 C Butter
1 C Sugar
1 Egg
4 tsp Molasses
2 C flour
2 tsp Soda
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Ginger
1/2 Tsp Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar until very light.
Mix in the egg and molasses.
Sift together the flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt.
Stir in the dry ingredients and mix well.
Shape dough into 1" balls and place 4" apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375º for 10 minutes,

Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
