Mix like cake.
Chill if desired.

This is all the directions Mother wrote down for me. You would know how to roll the dough out on a floured board and to dip the cookie cutters in flour.

Bake at 350º until lightly brown.

There is something wonderful about a cookie recipe that came down from my great grandmother, Maude Horning. Aunt Margret made them for most of her life and I think Mama did them too but not as often as Margaret.
