1/2 Cup Shortening
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg
1 Cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup Oatmeal
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, vanilla. Beat in egg, then 1 tablespoon water.
in another bowl mix in flour, soda, and salt. Then add to creamed mixture. Blend well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Drop by spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes
