1/2 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Grated Orange Peel
2 Tablespoons Orange Juice
1 Cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Raw Oats
1/2 Cup Raisins
1/3 Cup Chopped Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat shortening, sugar, egg until fluffy.
At low speed beat in juice and peel. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt until all mixed.Add wet ingredients to dry. Stir in oats, raisins, and nuts.
Drop by spoonful 2" apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly golden brown
