¼ c Butter Flavored Crisco
6 T white sugar
1 c boiling water
1 egg
½ t salt
2 T warm water
1 package dry yeast
3 ½ c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix Butter Flavored Crisco, sugar, and boiling water and cool slightly. In a separate bowl beat one egg, ½ t salt, add to slightly cooled bowl of first bowl.
In small bowl mix 2 T of warm water and 1 package dry yeast together until yeast is dissolved. Add to first bowl. Blend in 3 ½ c flour. Blend well. Cover with a warm damp towel and let rise for one hour until dough has doubled.

Flatten out on floured board and let rise for half to one hour. Cut into strips and form knot rolls. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
