2 cups sugar

1 cup shorting

1 cup milk

1 ounce baking ammonia

2 eggs

1tsp salt

1tsp oil of lemon

Flour to make dough (about 5 cups
Directions:
Directions:
Combine ammonia and milk

Let sand until ammonia is dissolved (mash up ammonia)

Cream, sugar, shorting, then add salt and eggs mix well

Add ammonia and milk and oil of lemon

Add flour and knead well. Kneading is important!

Roll to 1/8 thick

Cut with cutter and lift with fork

Bake at 400º until light brown
