2 C- Flour
1½ C- White Sugar
2 tsp- Soda
½ tsp- Salt
2- Eggs
1 tsp- Lemon Juice
1- 15 oz can Fruit cocktail with juice
1 C- Brown Sugar
½ C- chopped Nuts(Walnuts or Pecans)
Topping- Butter Sauce
1- cube butter
1 C- Sugar
½- 14 oz can of Evaporated Milk
1- lge Beaten Egg

Directions:
Directions:
Blend 2 eggs, white sugar, lemon juice and fruit cocktail until well mixed with electric mixer. Then add flour, baking soda and salt beat with electric mixer until well mixed. Pour batter in greased and floured 9x13 " cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over cake batter and sprinkle nuts over batter if desired. Bake in oven at 350º for 35 minutes.

Butter Sauce Topping
Melt butter, sugar and evaporated milk in double boiler using medium to high heat.When butter and sugar melted and dissolved with milk add beaten egg slowly. Whisk vigorously until sauce thickens, then continue to whisk occasionally for 15-20 minutes. Then may refrigerate until serving, reheat for serving. Serve warm over cake May also serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
