Whip together:
1 cup lard
1 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
Add:
½ cup sour cream with 2 tsp baking soda
and add enough cereal cream to make ¾ cups.
Add:
2 cups flour
3 cups oatmeal

Filling:
1 lb dates (cut up)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
¼ cup lemon juice
Boil until thick.
Then add 3 Tbsp butter and 1 tsp vanilla

Consistency is sticky. Lightly flour surface and roll out.
Cut into small cookie size.
Bake 375ºF degrees for 12 minutes. Cool and add filling between two cookies.
