2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
2 c. butter (real) = 4 sticks
4 large eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla (I use Mexican vanilla)
5-1/2 c. flour
3 c. oats (quick)
2 pkgs milk chocolate chips (2) 11.5 oz size - Ghiradelli are best

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together brown sugar, white sugar, butter and eggs.
Add salt, baking powder, baking soda and vanilla.
Gradually add flour and oats. Stir in chocolate chips.
Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours.
Bake @ 400º for 8 min. on ungreased cookie sheet or cookie sheet with parchment paper. Transfer to cooling rack.
Makes 6 dozen.
*Roll dough into 6 logs and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in a gallon ziplock bag and freeze for later. Use a knife to slice up cookies when ready to bake.
