5 lb. bag of Russet potatoes
1 stick of softened butter
1-1.5 cup of warmed milk
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Fill large pot with water until 1/2 full
Peel potatoes, cut in 1 inch cubes and place in pot
Add salt to water
Boil potatoes with lid until potatoes feel soft but do not turn to mush. Do not let the water boil over, slightly displace lid and turn heat down as needed.
Dump into colander and then immediately return potatoes to pot. Add stick of butter 1 tbsp. at a time. Starting with 3-4 tbsp. and adding 1/2 the milk.
Beat with hand mixer until smooth. Can add more butter and milk and salt to taste.
Cover when done beating to keep warm.
Place in warm bowl and serve.

Everyone's favorite, you can never make too many mashed potatoes.
