3/4 cup (170g) butter
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
2 eggs
2 TSP vanilla extract
2 cups (250g) flour
2 TSP cornstarch
1 TSP baking soda
1 cup (200g) chocolate chips
optional: chocolate icing for topping

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*F and line a round 9-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Add cornstarch and baking soda. Mix until smooth.
4. Add flour and mix until combined.
5. Fold in chocolate chips.
6. Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the cake is lightly golden brown or until toothpick comes out of the centre clean. Can tent the pan with tinfoil halfway through cooking to avoid uneven browning.
8. Optional: Top with icing and sprinkles.
