1/4 C butter
1/4 C sugar
3 apples - sliced
1/4 C hot water
juice and rind of 1/4 lemon
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
1/4 c dark corn syrup
Directions:
Directions:
Mix corn syrup, hot water, lemon juice and rind togethers.

Sift sugar and spices together.

Mix butter and bread crumbs together

Place half bread crumb mixture in 9x9 greased and floured pan.

Cover with a layer of apples. Sprinkle sugar and spices.

Repeat layers.

Pour corn syrup mixture over all.

Bake 40 minutes at 400 degree's.
