- ½ c. butter
- ½ c. margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 4 ½ c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375º
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs
- Add ½ c. milk and 3 ½ c. flour
- Add vanilla and mix well
- Add remaining flour and baking powder. Blend well
- Add remaining milk to which soda has been added
- Drop on a greased and floured baking sheet
- Bake 8-10 min.
- Frost after slightly cooled with vanilla store-bought frosting
